Fantasies and reality

In the darkness I wake
the shadows of our memories fill my head
I fantasies of your body against mine
our soul and mind entwined
in a spirit of ecstasy
our thoughts combine and create a pure effigy of love.

Tears cascade down my face as reality shocks my mind.

My thoughts are singular
your face not seen.

Do you think of me?
I have no idea
my heart leaks of hot liquid satin.
This melting of bloodful scarlet
runs through my empty veins,
seducing my body whole.

Your face haunts my thoughts.
Your eyes are open to pain and destruction
if only I could close them.

My love for you
lies in the darkness
still and unknown
you will never know of my feelings.

My Fantasies repeat.
your body so touched
yet your heart unprinted.

An aura of sorrowful blue surrounds
your used body

my broken heart is yours,
yours to kill,
yours to forget.

I'll never tell how your face haunts my essence
so everytime i wake in the hollowness of the darkness
I think of you.

thanks dave, i put everything into this poem it's the first proper poem i've wrote

keep it up

I remember my first proper poem Fiona....trick is 'practice makes perfect'
youve got alot of potential you just need to take your time and never rush a poem,If you become lost for words put the pen down go away a while and come back suddenly you almost instanly know where you went wrong.good luck

thanks

thanks for the tip it's useful as i do often force words out to complete a poem

fiona

Nice Work:)

Good work Fiona, especially so since it's your first proper poem. You put the theme of lost and unknown love across well.

Just one thing, make sure you always capitalise the 'I.'
