OWED LIES
You feel I owe to your ears
The empathy
Provided by your lies
Whenever I couldn’t bear.
I knew,
Your faith is subjected to fate,
So palpably that even a slight blow,
Of wind casts the shadows,
Of faithless clouds.
I saw,
You drenched in the rain of doubts,
Pouring acidic questions around me,
Of the things I say,
Of deeds I do.
I tried
To justify myself at every step,
But the way you flip every second,
From honest to swindler
From modest to boaster
I waited,
Still under the umbrella of time as
It corrodes away, I drag away,
From your doubts,
From my failure.
You feel I owe to your ears
The empathy
Provided by your lies
Whenever I couldn’t bear.
What could I do if your over confidence
Could not be penetrated by my requests to be with truth.
