My Eyes Have Seen (A Murder Movie)
open your eyes..........
the bloody carcass of my stolen dreams
until all that remains is the stain of memory
and the droppings splattered across the
windshield of this vehicle i drive
down endless roads to points unknown
as the dj spins songs of emotional destruction
for me to sing along with as i search
for the meaning to my suffering
the stars will glitter in my eyes
for moments and i can only hope
the feeling stays with me after i wake
blink..........
the slowly dying body of my best intentions
until the ghost rises from the pool
of remorse that covers the innocent ground
with the ooze of lust and desire that ran wild
in the night time of my once gluttonous reality
that i would keep hidden like some child
who doesn’t want mommy to find out
about the neighbors cat tossed from
the barn roof to see if it could land on its feet
or the accidental killer that didn’t mean
to take the life or the love of someone special
close your eyes.......
