a concentrated mix of deadly lust and fate
sensual greed turns the sweetest wines to dust
and the mouth now tastes of carbonic rust

a ravenous cancer growing in the vines
strangulates the life of who now becomes divine
a darkened hunger comes to take his bow
enlightens hopeless masses as to how

watcher in the wild may be forever late
to save us from this deafening daggered date
for he must pass the eyes of sorrow through a ring
of newly summered golden threadlike string

dividing this imaginary universe into two
one of archaic murky fears and one fearless new
