Creeps
Through the cracks.

I hear
Daddy
Come near.
I close my eyes,
Hiding in the
Darkness.

I go to
My imaginary world
With no
Hate,
Pain,
Or fear.

Here I will be
Safe.

Under these
Blue Skies
My daddy
Can’t
Hurt me,
Can’t
Touch me,
Can’t
See me.
Here,
Mommy doesn’t
Cry,
Screams
Don’t escape
Her lips,
Bruises
Disappear.

Here will be no
Fear.

Slowly my world
Fades,
As I feel
My hiding place,
Being torn apart.
My favorite bear
Ripped from my arms,
Thrown to the floor.

Here I only find
Tears.

My eyes scream
What my lips
Cannot.
What did I do,
Daddy?
Silence fills
My room,
Broken
As I
Hit
The floor.
I bury my face
In my bear,
Waiting for
His cold hand.

Here I lie in
Pain.

It stops,
I am still,
Unable to move.
Light
Strikes my eyes.
I feel light as a
Feather.
My pain

Never
To return.
