Nebraska

Another day has come to a close.
As the sun says goodbye,
It gracefully paints the sky.
Peace, presented in a small dose.

The few Clouds in the sky,
Reflect the pink light.
Day slowly turns to night,
Bringing out the first firefly.

Blue turns to black.
Stars begin to shine,
Too many to define.
Counting, you loose track.

Casting on the world a white light,
Merely the suns shadow.
The light seems to echo
When night turns to twilight.

An orange fire on the horizon,
Letting some light in.
There’s a fire from within,
The sky begins to brighten
