Do You Remember?
Do you remember?
Parked in the shade, I held your face and smiled,
We flirted without shame, kissed like it was a game,
That day is frozen in time, that day is in my drawer.
Do you remember?
The walks we used to take,
Arms around waists, our dogs running ahead,
Talking about nothing and yet laughing,
That day is in my drawer.
Do you remember?
The surprise on your face, the pink roses on your bed,
Just because I felt like making you smile a different way,
That day is in my drawer.
Do you remember?
The lunches with your mother,
The outings that made you laugh harder,
That day is in my drawer.
Do you remember?
The pain in my voice, the tears down my cheek,
When you told me what happened,
That day is in my drawer.
Do you remember?
Me telling you that I love you, that I need you,
That day in the arms of another man,
That day is in my drawer.
Do you remember?
The reason I walked away, the pain you caused me,
Your infidelities, your unfaithfulness,
It broke my heart.
Do you remember?
