Dreadful Sorrow Poem
What a horrible bliss,
I’ve noticed that life is not real,
Once you left the world,
What was left?
What was left?
Nothing mattered anymore,
I rot in my room knowing your not there,
Knowing you’ll never come back,
I slash the pain away,
I watch this rage and sorrow trickle to the floor,
What a beautiful death I say to myself,
But I can’t until I complete the task,
I choke in the dark drowning on tears,
Why did it have to be like this,
Why did you leave,
Where did you go?
How can anyone live on after a tragedy such as this,
How can anyone continue on,
I will not,
I refuse,
I can’t keep going on alone,
I loved you to much to be alive,
I’ll see you soon,
I’ll see you.
A year later,
I walk through the night,
Not a star in the sky or the moon shining bright,
I stalk the killer that rid you of this world,
How can he go on,
How can they let him roam free,
I’ll be the slayer,
I’ll take that sweet, sweet revenge,
He will not see light ever again,
I laugh at his pain,
I smirk as he cringes and screams,
Everyone pays, Everyone pays,
No more will he be,
No more will he breathe,
I watch him fade and smile at him,
He takes his very last air.
It’s over now,
My task complete,
Revenge has honestly never been so sweet,
Pleasantly I walk away,
I hope you are proud,
I’ve done the deed that set you free,
Metallic taste, dreadful cold,
Fully armed and ready to go,
Will anyone know I’m even gone,
I shrug and embrace the trigger part,
Tears of joy, I’m coming home.

Powerful and tragic, reminded me of how desperately lonely someone can feel,
