During a recent foot inspection
I discovered a nasty fungal infection
Athlete’s foot was diagnosed
Flaky skin between the toes
Only on one foot did it appear
And lots of cream I started to smear
Now never having been athletic
My runnings always been pathetic
But during this time, I noticed something strange
My running style had started to change
The infected foot was running faster
With the other so slow, it was causing a disaster
For in circles I was running around
Getting dizzy, falling to the ground
A thought then came into my head
What if I could get the infection to spread
I have got it now on both of my feet
And I am running so fast, I think I’m elite
The Olympics for me are now what beckons
For I’m running 100 metres in under 10 seconds.
