Creepy Crawly Cuisine

Wiggly worms give you germs
If eaten when covered in mud
Give them a wash to make them clean
Then put them in a nice baked spud

Slimy slugs are very sticky
Because they’re covered in slime
They don’t have very much flavour
So cook them with some thyme

There are many types of little grubs
But some can be quite chewy
Cut them up in to tiny bits
And eat them in a nice chop suey

Earwigs don’t come out your ears
So they are not covered in wax
But if you’re feeling peckish
They can make a very nice snack

Spiders can be quite hairy
Which can be tickly when you chew
But there’s a very good recipe on the web
For a gorgeous spider stew

Caterpillars and millipedes
Have a lot of legs
These can be quite tasty
If eaten with some eggs

You must never eat wasps or bees
Or any kind of buzzy thing
Although they may look tasty
They could give you a nasty sting

This poem is only a little joke
Please do not take my advice
But for a quite nice starter
I can recommend fried wood lice

ha ha Andrew
