I went to the dentist for a check-up
Although my teeth were feeling fine
She said they needed cleaning
To me they looked divine

Have you ever heard of brushing?
I bet you have never used floss
The way she kept on moaning
It was as if I hadn’t given a toss

You are going to need some fillings
I have found a lot of decay
It will only take a minute
How would you like to pay?

The thought of the drilling was scary
But I really must be brave
I don’t want all those tiny cavities
Turning into bloody caves

So those teeth that once felt fine
She started on with her drill
Once finished they didn’t feel better
Nor me when I saw the bill

Did they really all need filling?
Of that I will never know
But her smile seems a whole lot brighter
Now she’s relieved me of all my dough
