Punctuation Marks
I know a comma breaks a sentence,
A full stop kills it dead.
Apostrophe’s I sure do know
Are doing in my head.
Some others can have two meanings-
This causes problems when I write.
The colon’s attached to the rectum,
Which explains why my punctuation’s shyte.
“Parentheses and brackets are different!”
My teacher always did preach,
Followed with a big exclamation mark
And quotation marks to highlight her speech.
A question mark needs an answer,
And I think that I do too.
For semi-colon, ellipsis and hyphens,
I really don’t have a clue!

ps, thought for sure you would have attacked the "period" though...lol
Thank you Linda
Damn I must be getting predictable. I was not familiar with the word "period" used in this context, having always known it as a full stop. Now if I had known it was called that...
Thanks for the comment, I hope you are well.
Andrew
LOL, Hmmm...
A period is a "full stop"?...No one told me...lol
I've been really well Andrew, thanks for asking!
