Fun At KFC

I hope you like this poem recited for fun.
FUN AT KFC
Grandchildren arriving home from school
Looking after them, was I a fool
Coming home with bags and cases
Shoes kicked off and not in there places

Their starving and clearing out all my cupboards
Looked like I was now old Mother Hubbard
Quibbles and squabbles over my tele
Calling each other and saying their smelly

Rounding them up in cars one by one
Hoping to take them for a wee bit fun
We’re all packed up for KFC
I hope their hungry and eat their tea

We all arrived one car at a time
Getting out they all seemed fine
Placing their orders one by one
Chicken and chips would soon be gone

They were entertaining and so amusing
So fussy about food it was so confusing
Ice cream tubs with flakes on top
Holding their tubs in case they dropped

We laughed and giggled it was so much fun
Being with grandchildren is second to none
To share some fun did cost us a bomb
Lets now get them home, and back to mom
