TRUE LOVE
TO FEEL TRUE LOVE
What is love I sometimes ask
We take it for granted and hope it lasts
Love is about feelings that we share
Showing others how much we care
Feelings expressed is a wonderful thing
Finding happiness in what life brings
To live my life with this special gift
I wake each morning with such a lift
To miss out in love is a terrible shame
Must feel like a person without a name
Some can be lucky in life to share
But sometimes true love is really rare.
Although true love is hard to find
It's always treasured in hearts and mind.
Feeling for each other Is a two way tie
True love that’s shared will never die

I have been trying poetry for about 4 months now, I started a poetry forum. It was for others to share poetry, I had always enjoyed reading it, however I got roped into it myself. My forum has been going 4 months and we are doing great.

Ah, a love poem...
How I cannot resist a good love poem...this one was no exception. Your words were written true and struck a chord in my heart. How right you are in saying "To miss out on love is a terrible shame, must feel like a person without a name." The last stanza was my favorite, especially the first two lines. Wonderful.
For in our hearts, there is a mechanism that will let you know when you are in love. A signal flare, a firework, a ringing bell--do not worry, you will know.
