Unit 9 Day 5

O’ LORD,

Time was not the beginning but what you proposed.

To mark for our senses lanes in which to run.

For the body is in a race against death!

Yet my spirit and mind are already yours.

So set the finish on the horizon.

Shall my heart urge me on with the flame of your word?

Shall one such as death swallow our victory?

Ah now I breathe once again as you remind me of love.

How it is your will to change my perception.

So now I concede the race to you FATHER.

For how can I win a race that your son has already won?
