Unit 5 Day 5

LORD,

Yet again your great patience and love humble me.

I have realized that I have been praying in a self centered way.

I have realized that by filling myself with scripture and praying then picking a topic that I feel led to. That I am not as close to you as I should be. For between those points, self has the opportunity to interject and corrupt your truth.

Instead let me be drawn to the topic in your Holy Words. Let it be your truth in scripture that I read and respond to with my prayer and reflection.

For your Holy Words are both your unmistakable will but also your absolute truth.

Let me adjust my life to your words for I wish to be more like you.

The only way for me to become your word is to base every thing I do upon it.

Thank you for revealing this to my heart and mind.
