A Good Rest...
I wish to hell today never happened
paid for more mistakes than usual
but I wonder if a simple avoidance
would've had as much poignance
That "All I Ever Do Is Let Everyone Down" smell
is in the air
it's thick, and I inhaled most of it
Might have been a guilt-free baby
but my child's mind moved quickly to the light most dim
to hang thus proper over him
I'm bored, I have to get away
I'm tired of seeing the same things every day
under crates I couldn't feel this much weight
always anxious, I look at the Time (I'm late)
I've prayed, I've seized
coughed and wheezed
and got bent
I've taken off and landed promptly
as if it was my intent
Stay low, don't Fly
too high, too high
I hope tonight ends at a decent time
I need a good rest due to recent times.

Talk about hitting the nail on the head!
I can absolutely relate to this poem. I had one helluva ****ed up day. I'll have a drink for you too, darlin'. Brood on it, write poems, get published, make alot of money, then at least you can make money off your issues. That's my plan.

Mundanity..
Where every day.. slips unoticed into the next. I think we all need a change from these things, to do something different and liven things up a little. An escape plan from the ordinary!
This poem says so much..amongst other things that life can weigh heavy upon our shoulders.
