Modern Problems

Let's hear it for modern problems
Modern flight, modern marvels
Tinkertoys to enthrall you
Poorer men who deliver parcels

Unbeknownst to the proprietor
He's made this day slightly darker
We all fall down and the scars, they tell
Great stories of battles in personal hells

Let us raise a glass in regard of things
That wont allow us to change them, though we are changed
In our later years it will make such sense
And we'll have nothing to do but advice to dispense

Gee, if I could just feel that successful...to give advice...

Great poem with a unique flair and message that is so important,
and you express your theme so well with imagery that begs
the reader's attention... This poem gets it, with such a talented
author~ the line, "Let us raise a glass in regard of things, great
line and the last line of the stanza, "And we'll have nothing to do
but advice to dispense"! In the previous stanza the last two
lines speak of the reality of things, I won't quote them, but
the "scars" and "personal hells" speak so clearly of "things"!
Your title is so clever: "Modern Problems"!

Maybe go a bit easier on me next time

Thank you for your awesome feedback
