The Song of the Canyon Eagle

I stand within
the canyon walls,
Early in the day
The coyote and the desert fox keep me company.
The Eagle soars above the canyon
As the morning spreads her
warmth and light.
I stand by the Creek
A song sending itself
Echoing through the canyon.
I wait.
It begins.
A sound of rushing water.
From miles away, the sound stills my soul.
Far in the distance the water is rushing
the rocks are moving...
The eagle’s cry
Is the song I hear.
It comes sweeping along,
Sight and sound merging.
Playing just for me.
Loud the song of the eagle rings,
Swirling around and through me,
Fading into the distance.
I stand alone
Humbled by the moment,
The Song of the Canyon Eagle
Remains in my Soul.

Eagles

Thanks raskin, and as you can tell I to love this majestic bird. I tend to use it a lot in my writes as a medifore and a symbol of God and feelings that go through folks..
Thanks again for reading.
