Unending(The Human Condition)
In the midst of fossil fuel crusades,
I wait,
as holy wars rage,
I wait,
For the Christ child to walk
calmly out of the night
and save what seemingly,
can't be saved,
for the sacred to turn our eyes
away from television light
and release our minds
from being enslaved.
Within the confines
of the self dug grave,
I wait,
as silence engulfs the brain,
I wait,
For Mohammed, Buddha
or anyone to show
their everlasting face,
for the White Buffalo Woman
to suddenly appear
upon the open plains,
For this world to roll up
upon itself with destructive grace,
for anything what so ever,
to restore our faith,
With the patience of stone,
I wait.

Great poem, but...
I thought that was a wonderful poem on its own merits, but I know in my heart (because it was revealed to me by the Lord) that what or troops are doing in Iraq and Afghanistan is Holy, Just, Blessed, and Righteous. Islam is an inherently evil religion and Mohammed was a false prophet, so, at least on moral grounds, these extremist countries should rightly forfeit their oil to our Godly Corporations. It's as simple as that. I'll be praying for you.
A dumb voice which shouts to us!
great poem but
thanks for the input...but the poem has nothing to do with our troops or the war in Iraq and Afghanistan....I support our troops and the war on terrorism....the poem was written from the perspective of wars through out historyand the never ending human condition that causes them.It also tries to capture the feeling of helplessness in the face of all war and the human desire for some sort of holy intervention......please feel free to voice your opinion onany of my poems it is appreciated.
I absolutely love your
I absolutely love your poetry! The wording is beautiful. Normally, I do not enjoy very much poetry (I think a lot of people are hacks and posers), but yours is wonderful. Keep up the good work!

well........since its a free world and all......
I hope u dont mind me putting my veiws forward then,
for those of u who are pro war.....well, muslims are doing exactly what america would do and are doing which is fighting back....the only thing is, muslim 'terrorists' as u call them ( I call them human beings) never started this war...the 9/11 attacks were not the beginning of the war, it was a retaliation to attacks made on muslims world wide, look past the news for once and read up about the history of 'great and free america'...so when the US hop into a land of such strong believers in Allah, to nick their oil and cause civil war for their benefit, they cant expect that muslims are just gonna stand there and say....oh marhaba america....here shoot me, its ok cuz u got great american movies and u guys are cool!.....no no.....muslims will stand and fight, for islam says that only fight when ur religion and lives are threatened, we are not allowed islamically to fight for anything else, money etc....
so next time u guys think of blowing up muslims around the world thinking you are indistructable....know that God is all aware and that muslims will bite back when u mess with thier religion and lives....and u know what they are capable of so Im sure u believe me when I say....there is much more to come.(not a threat, a fact)
its amazing u know, how many soldiers convert to islam on a daily basis all around the world.....I wonder why? but u dont hear that on the news!
those men out in our lands see what islam really is and have witnessed miracles on the battle feild.....look it up if u dont believe me.
all Im saying is , us muslims dont have anything against christians and jews, we respect them as people of the book, but its sad that the christians and jews dont respect us back.....just dont be so quick to judge a religion that is so very like your own, the quran is simply a completion of the true bible and torah...think about it ...in paradise there will be dwellers who are all part of the family ( the people of the books)......thanx 4 reading and take care.peace.

Thanks for reading my poem, your views are welcome. I think if more people talked about our differences instead of just waring over them it would be a much better world. But I have to say that this poem doesn't choose any religion over any other one, the poem actually calls out to many religions to help mankind see the light, to stop killing each other over oil, religion, color or creed. The poem is not really for or against any certain side of any war, it was meant as a sort of hope that someday there would be no need for war at all.Although I know to well, that this hope is like fools gold, this poem has caused two very similar reactions from two very different points of view, yet both completely missing the point.
Thanks again for your comments they really are welcome,

Thanks for writing back, sorry I misunderstood your comments. That first reply really through me off and I thought you were going the same rout from a different direction. Once again I apoligize for my remarks, I really do believe that if people from different religions and back grounds could talk and at least try to understand each other as human beings, all one and the same, we really could all get along in peace. I'm going to check out your poems and will let you know what I think.
Thanks again,
BAE
P.S. (I would like to know more about your religion )
peace be with you......
Im glad I found some decent folks round here and Im glad that you are not judgemental of my way of life (islam)....I should be the one saying sorry here as it was not right that I used your space to reply to an ignorant remark made by a judgemental person, I can fully understand why u were thrown off by the way.......also , I would like to thank you for taking the time to look at my work , Im truly thrilled that you would let me know what u thought and Im hoping we can be buddies as it seems like we both have a simular way of thinking.....to try and get along and learn from each other, to live in peace and so on.....these are exactly my veiws and I appreciate your reply which was mature and kind, you said that u would like to know more about my religion and I will only be too happy to answer any question, silly or strange that you may have for me....and I would like it if you could answer some questions for me......u take care now and do let me know what u think of my writes....plz be honest, I like constructive criticism.....salam and peace.
