The One I Love
Touch me tenderly, hold me close
and never ever let me go.
Too far away...
lest I get lost.
Kiss me now my Love!
Let me taste of your sweetness.
For tonight, I shall drink;
of your passion.
A burning flame
with power great,
betwixed our meshing;
the weave of our Love ever flowing.
Like the waters of a gentle stream
yet, sometimes still;
continue to emerge
and give drink to the lily.
My precious flower
which I adore,
yet...
you are mine no more.
But God's to shape, nurture, and Love
till he grants me permission
and I; continue to Love.
The boy inside the man
so scared and alone.
The man inside the boy
just looking for a home.
My Love I shall grow
with the grace of God's rain.
The light of his Love
through my being will radiate...
To reach that place inside,
you don't allow me to go,
where the man runs and hides
and the boy is afraid to grow.
It's o.k. Lover, I already know.
For what you can not say,
I see inside.
Love can be scary
so you run and you hide.
Forwards and backward,
turning left and turning right;
Angels stand beside you
for we pray this at night.
For a soul
worth saving,
A soldier;
such as you.
A man of great valor,
of beauty, and of peace.
A man of great stature,
yes; that is what I see.
In a time
not yet comely,
for you,
nor for me.
A wife not yet polished.
A Soul just getting fed.
These words are of my heart
and so it is said.
