You really remind me of how I was;
I can't explain - it's just because.
You want so much to be rough and tough;
but, deep down inside, you've had enough.
You want to be loved as a girl should be;
you're not a boy...you're really a she.
You're a girl who's trying to be tough as you can;
but, deep down inside, you want to be treated like a lamb.
You have no one you can call your own;
at times, you just want to be left alone.
You really have feelings, but show you don't care;
you feel like you're here just taking up air.
You want to be noticed like the rest;
it doesn't matter if you give me your worst or best.
I just love you for the person you are;
no matter the distance...no matter how far.
I really don't know how this poem should end;
but, you're just a tomboy...so don't pretend.
