White, Black, and Red

White for purity and grace,
For the youth carried in her face,
For the innocence of love.
As perfect as the flawless dove,
As it soars in untouched flight;
This is why the bride wears white.

Black for solemn vows and devotion,
A bottomless chasm of true emotion.
As infinite as the endless night,
A handsome and dashing sight,
Like the midnight’s chime turning back,
This is why the groom wears black.

Red is for love and heartbreak,
For painful smiles I must now fake.
A rose to loving to die though it may fade,
This is why red is the color of the bleeding bridesmaid.

The anticipation of the bride and groom on that night of nights...
Your emotions contained in the imagery of this piece are moving
and sensual! It glorifies the traditional sensuality and expectations
of those who seek wedded bliss! Your words, phrasing, and descriptions
provoke deep expectations, yet you give your reader the reality
of all dreams as they can become tainted and faded: "A rose to loving
to die though it may fade,..." As with all matters reality must
come, as the facade leaves! Duty often surrenders to feelings!
The virtuous learn truth, truth is what makes life beautiful! Your
imagery makes this piece a masterful bouquet of life!

Wow

I really liked this, especially the imagery. Well done!

Very beautiful

Marvellous as all of your previous ones. I liked it very much. I especially liked how you explained the meaning of white, black and red.

Wishing you all the best
