Beauty
Beauty
To take the hills in my hands
And feel their shape
To feel my breath
Warm the chasm that
Parts them
And my fingers running over
Each gentle slope
To their very peaks
Is to see the world in a new light
Like gazing down from a vast mountain range
And seeing the world for all
Of its beauty.
The oceans rippling and parting
To modestly cover the virtues of the earth
The fields of flora so serene and inviting
The hands of trees so desperately longing
For the sky’s fleeting embrace
The passion of the cities
The heat of its people
I gaze down at my lover
And I am overcome
By her beauty.

This was a body part poem assigned by my creative writing teacher. Haha, it brought about quite a few giggles from underclassmen. =) I was happy with the assignment. Last time I did the neck. I felt a little more adventurous.
