Deaf Ears
Deaf Ears
Crowned with a wreath of lies
that burn like black butterflies
my lover pressed her lips
to the wound that so freely bled
the secrets of my flesh
and behold she sighed
the breath of life
into the cowl that shielded my heartstrings.
Oh and I cried to her, oh and I cried to her
but my voice fell on deaf ears.
She found the eventide
the night my heart died
and the world dropped into shadow
and the yearning and hunger
for the one last glimmer
of a world I could not obtain
began to writhe and die in the flames.
Oh and I cried to her, oh and I cried to her
by my voice fell on deaf ears.
And so she died
the dearest lover of mine
because my darkness
grew each day
and it was more then her fragile heart could take
so I said goodbye
to the only lover of mine
crowned with a wreath of lies
that burn like black butterflies.
Oh and I cried to her, oh and I cried to her
by my voice fell on dead ears.

Sometime in november 2007....
just now got this one back from mrs. Peterson... soo that's why all of these entries are so late.... yeesh.
Anyways, this was my attempt at a song. Sadly I've got like nooo future in song writing, but I still like this one nonetheless. It'e a quirk. Whatever. Like it or hate it.
