Solitaire

SOLITAIRE

It was the early spring,
I saw you for the first time,
My pulses raced anew,
As you flowered like a summer rose,
Your attraction was the strangest thing,
It was fought but not defeated,
You became my private Solitaire,
A single enigma I cannot fathom,

Whilst the roses bloomed and faded,
Your beauty kept my mind in disarray,
Captivating winsome smile,
Flashing seductive eyes,
Is a secret message contained within?,
They shine as two freshwater pearls,
Glistening in a virgin shallow stream,
One wrong move, touch and all is gone,

So my lovely Solitaire,
A complex puzzle you remain,
I fail to analyze the pieces,
You are Aphrodite in my turmoiled mind,
A Goddess a million light years away,
Will you ever descend to my earth?,
Where I an trapped in vortex visions of fantasy joy,
Thinking singular thoughts of you.
