Belvadeer Vs. Miloe

I awoke to a sound, in the depths of the night
The sound of a fueding feline fight
Belvadeer and Miloe, two neighborhood cats
Keeping the noisiest rickety-rack

At first, I thought I'd heard a baby
Maybe it was the winds, just maybe
But.. there they were, both face to face
Poised and positioned, in their place

Engaged, they squared-off in the front yard
This light weight match, was no-holds-barred
No ref here to officiate
Each cat upheld, to it's own fate

Both letting out primordial cries
One cat retorts, Then one replies
They spin each other round and round
Not one retreats, not one backs down

Gnarls and snarls, furballs and all
Can't interrupt this barnyard brawl
One second, M's the upperhand
Then B rebounds, and takes a stand

Rest of the neighborhood was still
Only these two, locked in a thrill
Momentum swings, turn on a dime
I sit and stare with passing time

This' not the first time, they have clashed
But boy, this contest was a smash
Dropkicks and even body slams
How so? I could not give a damn!

One tries to give the knockout punch
The other ducks, and takes a scrunch
Not one will topple from it's feet
Not one will wilt and claim defeat

They seperate, gasping for breath
Standing with whatever they have left
Staring each other in the eye
Not one will flinch or turn awry

Two veteran cats, who fought with pride
Neither would fold, nor turn aside
At last, their stares would soon deflect
Winning the other one's respect

I could not say for sure who won
Just know that this long match is done
The lively night, falls back to dead
With this, I go on back to bed

Another..

Good and very funny write, Bryce. You really captured the whole feel of a 'Cat Fight' and they do indeed sound like babies crying!

One of my favourite lines was 'Drop kicks and even body slams' This congured up quite an imagine, and it made me laugh so much!
Thanks for the share.

Thanks Again Debs..

This is the best way I could possibly describe the action
