Flame of Life
Precious is the flame of life
That burns inside us all
For if it slants or if it fades
It tempts the dark to fall
With every smile, in every joy
Adds kindling to the fire
With every wrench, in every woe
Bleeds out a heart's desire
So precious is that tender flame
We covet day to day
For in a second, in an inst
It could just wisp away
And when you can not get it back
Although you've tried and tried
And nothing seems to bring it back
You look to suicide
Spark of light, bestowed in us
That can not burn forever
We do our best to keep you strong
And in good faith, endeavor
Through wind or rain, you stay the course
To gaurd that sacred flame
Protecting it with gritful force
As long as it remains

GREAT,
Thanks for sharing, I like it.
We live as long as we hold the flame of life within us. It's a bit ticklish and hard to save it but this is our holly mission on Earth as humans.
And you reminded us in your beautiful poem of this heavy truth...
