Home Again

Many suns have risen since the day I last been home
So many miles been driven, much too far away.. i've gone
I've tallied yellow lines below, and passing clouds above
One at a time, dispatching me, from where I garnered love
Encountering a plethora of unfamiliar faces
But, only longed to see the likes of old familiar places
Though days had brought their tendencies of wonderment and hells
My heart could dream of just one dream; bout being some place else
The people who I came to know, with names I surely knew..
They were the ones my eyes so missed, and yearned returning to
From town to town and sea to sea, with cities we have toured
Oh what a sight it was for me, to see the Welcome board
Off of the tire-beaten roads, through journies that i've been
How sweet it is to just be known...to just be home again

So true

Bryce,

You have given great credence to the old saying "There's no place like home" but the journey brought that thought ever closer to your mind and heart.

Pete

Why Thanks ^_^..
