Road Out of Purgatory

There's just one road

That leads you out..

Out from this Purgatory

Back to the place

Of hope and grace

To safer territory

Lost souls and shadows journey here

A land between the worlds

Where meaning doesn't seem so clear..

The sun does not unfurl

There is no highway into it

No easy low road out

Just one dark path, can you transmit

No cruise to go about

It is a broken road at best

Filled with debris and glass

With barriers and rattlesnakes

Which many fail to pass

Finding a way to make it through

And get back to salvation

Is seldom very hard to do

If you're stuck in temptation

Deliverance, might bring you back

If you could sacrifice

The grave misdeeds that haunt in life

Made by your own devise

All faithfulness in God may be

Your saving tourniquet

But, if you turn your back to him

You'll stay lost in this debt

Walk down that road with clinching hands

Your feet toeing the ground

Regnant by unforgiving lands

With dangers all around

And If you're lucky, you'll be blessed

To make it back alive

For treacherous trolls, that road infests

From hell, they all derive

The long road back from Purgatory

Is rough and very dark

But, from that desolating quarry

With trusting faith, embark
