Mother

I have a love you may not understand
Her hair is green
And tall she stands
She speaks to me silently
For the wind also carries

My baby we cannot move
But we can weep

We may not talk
But we too need sleep

We know pain as well
Ours is a constant flow
To keep up with your breathing so

It may be hard for you to believe
For who can believe what they cannot see
Though We do every day
In the silence of our rain
Which glimmers and falls
As tears from above
Showing Mother is mourning for all

Winter Looms

I feel the chill
I'm yet not fat
The smell of perfectness
In me will dwell
I am determined
I will succeed
To fill my belly
Of luscious leaves
Climb up high
To where strength grows
Suddenly a snap
To startle so
Running fast
Devise new plans
That juicy scent
I cannot stand
Back again to have my fill
Get the gold
Gnaw the stem
Heavy burden lightened now
Half it's size
My belly full
Hidden in the bushes still
My prize,
The Lovely Sunflower
