A GLADSOME FRIEND
I have a friend who sees the rainbow,
In the absence of sunlight.
He often sings a melody,
That cheerfulyl lifts my heart.
He smiles at me and at the whole family,
Including the adopted cat at home.
He sips champagne on pouring rain,
And throws a toast to everyone.
I like him best when he stomps around,
Wearing his dancing shoes.
One day I asked, why he came by,
And prance his life around.
He told me then, his life's account,
Through a bit of song and dance.
The gladsome life you see in me,
Is a sweet reflection of the one who passed me by.

I liked this piece
Calirejane,
I liked this piece for the entire thing was about human connections and how they can lift spirits.
Pete
Lifted UP
Dear Pete,
Thanks for reading it.
I wrote it as I remember a friend of mine back home. He really lifts me up. In a way I can feel his spirit radiates though I am miles from home.
