There are dreams that inspire the soul,

there are dreams that keep us hoping
though we may never take part.

There are dreams that teach of patience,
there are dreams that teach of love,
there are dreams that keep us rooted
below the skies above.

But the hardest dreams to dream,
are the ones beyond our grasp,
the ones that avoid our calling
beyond our final gasp.

That dreams may cause us angst,
is the cruelest trick of mind,
for where is hope to be found,
in visions that are blind?
