Night Sky
Once upon a quiet night and a quiet night it was
A turquoise horse and a red, red rose
Rode beneath a yellow moon.
A tiny bird with ruby eyes
Flew above the purple skies
While dancing elves pranced and praised
And laughed and laughed and laughed
As the dogs of hell crouched by a fire—
Howling at the silent moon.

Very descriptive
Curran,
You have created a highly descriptive piece that makes the reader stop and think about what you are describing. Pretty weird, but effective.

Thank You for your very kind comments. It was a fun poem to write witht the thought that the dogs of hell always seem to be hiding somewhere..
Fantasy
I like the fantasy and surreal nature of this write. I don't see it as weird at all, thats too severe a word. I think you have written this piece well and I like the use of description detalling the colours.
