Christ Expunged
Remove Christ from Christmas and all that’s left-
is a meaningless Xmas at the best.
If this is your desire then be my guest-
but why try to impose this on the rest?
Be free to delight in all except Christ
and put up a tree without a star's light,
or throw out the manger and Holy Night-
this does not offend me you have this right.
Or if the Menorah you wish to display,
celebrate Hanukkah, and not Christmas day-
this does not offend me in anyway-
both claim victory over evil’s sway.
So why does it offend in this season-
that others and I make Christ the reason?
The birth of Jesus you may wish to shun-
but don’t Christ from Christmas with an X expunge.

I think the true nature of 'christ'mas has been lost along time ago,. I often wonder what it's all really about these days.

Thank you this is true for after all who received the gifts from the wise man but Christ. And yet we give gifts to one another if we should give a gift let it be all about Christ that those who share it may also celebrate His wonder, He as Truth and know the way in Him is salvation and there was nothing we could do to produce Him or make him come but to fall down before him profess and thank him. Then arise new to live with Truth brought from on High through the darkness of silent night... Thank you please continue to post.
