I See the Sea the Sea I See

I see the sea, the sea I see-
The sea that calls and beckons me-
Come and a sailor be-
To sail on me to distant lands-
Across my great expanse-
But the sea I see knows I can’t do that
Because the world I see is flat.

alot of fun

that was a lot of fun
very well done
my son

Absolute hilarity!

I see the sea the sea you see
In absolute hilarity
As Don says it's a lot of fun
And 'MY SON'
Adds a lot to pun!

I don't know why but-

Curtis J. Forsythe

"I see the sea, the sea I see" just poped into my head out of nowhere and would not let go. The rest just seemed to follow naturally. Makes me wonder if I did not read or hear something similar at some time or another.

It won't let me go either!

It's now a running loop in my head. You won't believe
the outbursts of laughter it helped, produce - despite
the sinister undertow of the theme. :- )) )) ))
Thank You!

now i see

the same fun now rolls in my head
i think its the rhyme that awakened the dead
the dead syllables that slept for a while in my bed
now they're awake, gyrating, not seem to fade
looking for some avenue, captivate a charade

Now you see

Now you see, the sea you saw
The frozen mutton I sought to thaw
Who is the master of this funny song
That's been sung in our heads for too long
This we owe to the rhyme's grandma!
