To shepherds watching o'er their flocks
angles appeared on high,
to proclaim the good news, the birth
of our savior is neigh.
Future king of Israel,
the everlasting light,
Son of God Emmanuel is
born unto us tonight.

A guiding star has been placed by
God in the winter sky,
to lead the way to the stable
where the Christ child doth lie.
fast asleep in a manger,
in swaddling cloths so tight,
first born son of blessed Mary
is clothed in heaven's might.

Our savior Jesus Christ is come
so man's sole need not die,
to pay for our grievous sins and
believing in Satan's lie.
Little town of Bethlehem,
you hold the precious light,
whom the Wise Men seek to find and
worship this awesome night.

Angelic hosts sing songs of praise
from Heaven’s realms on high,
as the infant Jesus sleeps
and the silent night goes by.

the truth and holy light,

Satan's power has been broken so
man's sole now need not die,
we are forever freed from his
snare and beguiling lie.
Unto us a child is given,
this most holy of nights,
to us a savior is born, Christ
