Untitled Haikus
Grizzled and gnarled
now ain’t she a pretty sight
don’t she even shave?
Sun lights eastern sky
sun flowers turn their yellow heads
away from the dark.
Seasons come and go
bad relationships persist
won’t they ever end?
Five o’clock some where
Margaritas coming up
ain’t no need to wait.
She sits in her slip
sipping on a can of Schlitz
sitting in jail now.
Rocks on sandy beach
rounded smooth by pounding surf
pointing toward sea.
Broken hearts bleeding
salty tears into the wine
leaving bitter taste.
As warm as brandy
smooth as Tennessee whisky
sweeter than honey.
