Bear and Hare

Bear and Hare
By Dana Shorb

In agony a fury bear the perfect place did spy
A place to rest his weary bum and loosened stool let fly

With teary eyes and foolish grin released a bellowed sigh
A panicked look about the log his cleanliness deny

A quilted hair yet unaware came gingerly walking by
A putrid smell upon him fell and caused the hare to cry

With blinding speed the moment seize the beast a grab did try
Successfully the hare held he his pressing need supply

Now tossed aside with no more pride to himself thought, “Why?”
The bear walked away to himself did say, “Hmm, feels like two ply!”
