Down the road of life we walk
but where is it we go
we end up there anyway
bearing all the bruises we show

At times a fork we will encounter
but which way, to or fro
the direction that we take
may soon decide our soul

If it were that easy
we could make the choice
but instead we stand and wait
listening for an encouraging voice

The voice we may hear
may help or hinder
it may confuse our soul
but the choice is ours to make
as long as we walk this road
