Don't You Believe It!
I'm certainly not a cook of your class! Some ingrediants/spices you speak of in your writes, I've never even heard of!! However if it's beans on toast you want.....lol.
Thanks for reading Linda,

David,
As a rule I am not the biggest fan of haiku but for this one I will make an exception. This was funny becasue this disaster hase befallen all of us at one time or another.
Well done,
Pete
PS: I don't get many comments from you, is it because you don't have time to read me or my stuff just doesn't do anything for you?
No Worries Pete
Your work is very good and I always read the pieces you post, I certainly don't find it as easy as you do to comment, but you're right, maybe I should try harder. There are some of your pieces that I have enjoyed very much, I'll go back over them and see if I can conjour up some comments for you, I certainly can't give you any advice, you're more knowledgeable on poetry than me. I just write what I feel at the time and stick it out there! Most of it's pretty raw, but some of it I really like. Funny how the ones you think are good recieve no comments, and the ones you think are shit get loads! Not always, but sometimes!
As for Haiku, maybe you should have a go? I found it a bit of a challenge at first, and it still is really, to try and get something across in so few words is not always easy. Be warned, they can be addictive!
Thanks for you comments and for taking the time to read my stuff,
Dave
No Haiku For Me---Too Freakin Verbose
David,
I wouldn't say I have more writing skill than you but I would say that I am probably much older and have had more practice. I've had no training, like you I just write what's in my head, massage it a little and then throw it to the wolves. I am often amazed how many of my (my opinion) well written pieces get no comments. With me the most important this is that my piece tells a story, it doesn't have to be an easy story but a story none the less. I prefer telling my stories lyrically rather than in cold dry prose. I look forward to hearings some of your thoughts on my work.
Happy Monday,
Pete
