To before my life began,
So I might understand she said,
What beast's inbred in man

For he can kill his own kind,
Like no other mammal can,
And he dances with the devil,
For much of his lifespan

Take me back in time she cried,
So I can change it all,
And cease the greed and jealosies,
Let man again stand tall

I tell her it's not possible,
To do the task she asks,
To travel back through years and years,
And rearrange the past

Maybe someday in the future,
It will be possible to do,
And then we'll all live perfect lives,
