The Knight

A knight approaches on a steel grey steed,
Looking for a maiden, a maiden in need,
He spots a damsel, with a cute bushy tail,
Buying her wares from a seller, that's male.

In storms the knight, all chainmail and steel,
Whips out his sword for the seller to kill,
The maiden, a lady, stands mouth open wide,
Surprised by the knight, from where came his hide?

"My lady" He says, as he drops to his knees,
"Your humble servant, to do with as you please"
She composes herself and takes a long even breath,
"Pray tell knight, why my seller needed death?"

The knight fidgets and stutters "I , ifs and buts"
Uncomfortable chaffing of chainmail on nuts,
"My lady I saw his hand, under his apron reach,
Untoward in your presence, I gave a lesson to teach"

"He was to giveth me change from purchasing his bread,
A costly sale dear knight, since you took off his head!"
The maiden turns on her heel and clutching her loaf,
Walks away from the scene of dead baker and oaf.

The knight was to keen to prove his valour and brave,
To send a humble baker to a cold, muddy grave,
His maiden was lost through his quickness to kill,
Maybe he learnt his lesson, maybe he never will.

I almost..

laughed my head clean off at this write! Dave. Especially the aptly listed catergory.

It was very well composed, and made for a good read.
