Twas the night before Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas and the village was still
The only sound heard was the harsh winter chill
Children were dreaming of the morning to come
Adults were sipping some warm refreshing rum
The time of the year where mankind shall unite
Put down the swords, create a ceasefire this night
Snowflakes form a blanket that cover the land
Peace grips this nation together we stand
As the morning sun rises and greets the world with a smile
Peace this morning I feel mile after mile
So let's raise a glass to this moment of truce
Dance round the fire and drink to the spruce
For whence this night is over is is back to the norm
Life will continue in its usual form
But for now we forgive yet we don't forget
Tis Christmas my child, the best is to come yet
