Excuses and Fears

Excuses and Fears

by Debborah Jensen

Excuses and fears, flow out to the frey,

Words, those of failure, matching the day.

Mind full of doubt, self loathing, I can't.

More energy on negative thinking spent.

How can you see what you've done?

When clinging to darkness, afraid of the sun?

Trembling at the thought of unlimited power,

When your will becomes, blessings do shower.

Clinging to the notion life happens to you,

that reality fixed you can't even choose.

Is what stops you from all the things you desire,

Put that notion on a funeral pyre.

Light up the sky to rival the sun,

then form your own reality, then you've begun.

Life is what you make it, You in control.

Fear is the enemy of everyones soul.

Give it a foothold, it grows like a weed,

contaminating everything with it's ugly seed.

Depression, helplessness, and suicide it's goal,

Eating your life, enemies of the soul.

So take control, face fears dead on you'll see.

When you take control of life, then you're free
