Weekend Fun

Weekend Fun

By Debborah Jensen

Gathered at the campground smiles on our face,

Away from the bustle of the human race.

Out in the sunshine, under the trees,

Conversations at length, enjoying the breeze.

The next day on water, the boat it was fun.

Sunscreen, and squeels, tubing, and sun.

An evening ritual, a child to maiden became,

All in the transformation, nothings the same.

To short was the weekend, the only one I fear.

The family campout was awesome this year.
