Dead and Alomost Buried
I will not stand by your graveside when they lower you into its gaping maw.
However deep they dig that hole it would never be as vast as hurts left upon my heart.
I shall not grieve with searing, anguished tears which spill from vacant eyes.
However much I cry they would never cleanse the pain firmly rooted within my mind.
I can not recant hollow, worthless words for your departure from this earth.
However much I pray, I have mourned your death in sorrow for many years.
I will not talk of you with false, fond memory among friends you held so dear.
However much they thought they knew you. Would they know why I am not here?
