Memories on the wall,
Reminders of past events,
Pictures, letters, uniforms.
I was there, I was here,
I have existed, will exist.

Me and my thoughts

The night grows old,
The moon goes ‘cross the sky.
I sit here, me and my thoughts.
I think of friends no where near.
Trips taken long ago, family no longer here.

Sunrise

The flower stands beautifully.
Watching, waiting, resting for it.
It comes first, by a drip
Then like a forest fire it engulfs
Its beauty makes all nature pause.

Pike’s Peak

It was a grand journey!
Training all week, here now.
Gearing up to climb it.
It was so beautiful.
As we gazed up,
We were at Pike’s Peak!
We began to hike,

To the moonlit shores,
On and beyond massive lakes,
Rebuilding hope in Germany.
Purple mountains and spacious skies,
Up in the hills, down under the sea.
Many places I’ve been!

This is for the time
Someone said to me
“You’ll never be anybody”,
“You’ll always be a loser”,
This is for the time
That I heard them say,
Look at that geek”,

To catch a dream,
does not require a license,
Rather it requires faith,
faith in yourself, and God.
Faith that anything is possible.

to catch,
to hold,
...a dream,
is like,

The colours of the world,
Gleamed throughout the sky,
Sunlight dancing gently,
Each cloud different.
The trees waved goodbye,
To that beautiful sun.
The colours are endless,

Tonight I pray,
Heavenward with all my might.
Dear Lord I pray,
Be with my family tonight.
I read my Bible now I pray,
Help me every hour.
Through troubles I pray,
You are my power.
