Civil Servants
Double talk is their lingua franca
Within a laid down, set rule
And mate, if you don’t understand
You attended the wrong school
Aha, you’re not a civil servant?
Your sturdy frame explains it all
These guys I’m speaking about
Sit a lot, and when walking, stall
No, you must have misheard me
“Serpent” may be a good analogy
But these guys went to university
Unlike you, your friend and me
No, they’re not only in our country
They’re always “At battle stations”
Here and there and everywhere
And much more in the United Nations
Your question “What do they do?”
The other “Are they into a caper?”
I’m not sure. But a lot of forests are cut
To supply them reams of paper
They attend many lengthy meetings
Until someone says, “Look at the clock!”
But as for us, we’ll finish our beer,
Pay the landlord and bugger off

Trust Me Dolan
The Civil Servants in the US are just as bad if not worse. They are one of the laziest lots in the world because they know that once they are in the system it's a real bitch to get rid of them. Brits or Americans, civil servants just take up valuable space.

Thanks guys
I enjoyed the programme "Yes Minister" until I got to meet civil servants
