Injustice
The ragged line stands quietly
To buy subsidized food to feed
Their small under- nourished children
Who having much less than they need
A chauffeured rich man drives by
On his way to a sumptuous lunch
Not glancing at his poor countrymen
Who don’t have a morsel to munch
His wife shops at supermarkets
Abundantly stocked with meats
Chocolate, dairy products, Evian
And loads of expensive sweets
Is this a part of God’s will?
That the poor cannot rise and fight
For their share of what world has still
But soon to fall to a plunderer’s might?
Can none raise his lonely voice?
Protesting this in-humanity
Or is it that we have no choice
In determining our own destiny

Dolan....
I loved this write....it reminded me of a poem I wrote called 'He and she and so many of them'....It isnt at all fair but one thing I dont get is why people question God in times of war and hunger.....I feel as though God gave us the rules and we didnt obey, so any pain the world feels....its our own doing?....we never question why God gives us water and flowers and scents and stars and beauty and intelligence and the list goes on....so why should we question the suffering?....its us....its obvious....free will is something we all got, and we sure know how to abuse it and the world.....peace.
Yes Indeed
I'm glad you commented on this. It is indeed in ourselves to rise above suffering, and use God's gifts to enhance His humanity.
Thanks
